GIO Insurance chatbot banner


Intent

We needed to create a digital chatbot to integrate with HTML5 banners which would in turn, provide answers to questions about insurance products. It needed to be easy to use and to be able to respond to unusual requests. Australia is a country where natural disaster is common in the forms of bush fires, flooding and cyclones. Our bot needed to be able to direct people to the correct products and to be able to connect customers to agents.

With virtual chatbots and assistants in almost every home, GIO wanted to create a simple way for customers to ask them questions about insurance products.

The challenge
Delivery

Our chatbot launched with the ability to answer roughly 2000+ requests for information about products. It had its own visual identification in the form of custom imagery and iconography to compliment information being provided by the bot agent. It was created in HTML5 using a backend agent hosted by sizemik. It’s CTR was just above industry average at 0.13% and users that did interact with the banner, spent avg. 1min 12sec on the banner.
