Dyson Pet Hair campaign
IntentTarget pet owners and focus on Dyson's ability to clean up long hair and pet dander, featuring products like the Dyson V15 & V12 Detect.
The challengeProduced in 2021, we had multiple challenges facing us due to the ongoing pandemic. We were unable to cast in-person and we were unable to attend shoots in different parts of Australia. This production was put together and managed remotely.
At the time Dyson was hesitant to work with pets so in order to get the go-ahead, we had to bring in multiple internal stakeholders to agree on the production.
DeliveryWe worked with Instagram sensation @aussie.sedona and her owners to produce a case-study video on how owners can reduce pet hair in their homes using Dyson products. It was a step away from the usual focus on technology and innovation and was more story-telling focused.
The campaign went live across social media with cut-downs for short form ads and a parallel campaign run by Aussie Sedona’s owners.
Dyson products are well placed to tackle any mess your pet might make. I was tasked with creating a case study film with an Australian pet of my choice to promote the Dyson V15 as the solution for removing mess caused by your pets.
Aussie Sedona is an Australian Shepard with a 112k following on Instagram. She was within budget, perfect for the Australian market and as you can see, she was very photogenic. Working with key stakeholders within Dyson, I put forward proposals and worked with agency partners to craft the film below. This video went on to create the foundations for pet content in ANZ region. It received 2+ million unique views and was cut into shorter form content suitable for paid media.
